The firm of accountants Vassdal & Eriksen primarily targets the cultural sector, working with key individuals and companies involved in the music, film, design and architecture industry.
The company was founded by skater, snowboarder and music enthusiast Kristoffer Vassdal in 1998, as an “emergency bookkeeping service for young creators”. Vassdal & Eriksen say themselves that they identify more with their customers than they do with their colleagues, and that they wish to highlight the fact that there is “room for tolerance” in their company.
The jury's verdict:
Vassdal & Eriksen dare to fully accept the solution. Even though the design is seemingly simple, it is firmly rooted in the company’s strategy. One has consciously created a design that appeals directly to the target group. It is playful, informal and highly untraditional, in an industry that is normally more conservative and uniform.
This means it is distinctive and easily recognisable. Vassdal & Eriksen have been very focused as regards the customers they choose. This visual identity confirms and reinforces that choice.
