FIVE COMPANIES with long and varied histories merged to form Norway Pelagic, which is nowadays a global operator exporting pelagic fish to the entire global market

The new company's ambition is to become the leading exporter of pelagic fish in the world. This must also be seen from its new visual identity.

Jury`s verdict

Norway Pelagic is aiming to change the way the industry does business. This requires a culture change. This has turned its image into a profile which conveys industrial focus and pure, Arctic freshness. The company has been bold enough to set itself new targets to aim for and has shifted far away from the industry's traditional "Norwegian" image. This has resulted in a modern, global design scheme which is credible.

The company's visual identity has been developed and implemented in a consistent manner. The jury would like to highlight in particular the attractive, elegant product sheets. The graphic and tactile elements, typography and use of colour in particular have been well thought out and original. They help to clearly differentiate the company from its competitors. A strong identity and excellent effort in an extremely important market for Norway.
