The aim of Rett og Slett’s Orientekspressen collection is to express a sense of nostalgia in a modern way. The collection contains garments for many different occasions. The clothes are made from natural materials, and shall be functional, feminine and comfortable.
The jury’s verdict:
With its Orientekspressen collection, Rett og Slett has sought inspiration from the past, but given the clothes a new and modern design. The product range has been well conceived and is holistic, with good finish and details. Story-telling is the idea behind the collection, and this theme runs through the collection like a thread, and includes the materials chosen, colour combinations and details. The collection contains a large variety of garments and outfits focusing on the same theme. The product range is characterized by untraditional details and combinations of materials, which give the user a great amount of flexibility in her choosing garments for a variety of uses. Certain garments can be adapted individually using new fastening solutions, which gives user the opportunity to continue using the garment even though she loses or gains weight. Rett og Slett has also made active environmental choices by donating remnants to the Salvation Army for export.
