The Vitruvian Man by Leonardo Da Vinci captures idealised, average proportions. Inclusive Design recognises our differences.
This workshop will give you what you need to get started with Inclusive Design and working with users. It will give you tools, tips and techniques and practical experience that you can start to use the very next day.
It will be delivered by Rama Gheerawo, Royal College of Art Helen Hamlyn Centre and Sean Donahue, Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, both seasoned professionals with years of practical experience in people-centred design. It is aimed at anyone working in design or business who want to understand how they can engage more closely with their customers.
Practical work will include how to conduct cost-effective and time-effective research with people and will introduce you to the art of interpreting the qualitative data you might gather.
Case studies will be outlined showing best practice, including some work that will only be shown in this workshop.
At the end of the session, you will have a basic understanding of how to conduct research with people, practical tools to try out and take away and methods for using this research as a strategic tool for innovation.
The workshop will be a four hour session including breaks from 09.00 - 13.00. There will be served sandwiches, tea and coffee.
There is a 40 people limitation - sign up on a first come first served basis.
Preconference workshop: 625 NOK incl. VAT
