TINE launched ice coffee already in 1999 in portion packs, the first to do so in Norway. The product was innovative when it was launched on the market and currently comes in six different flavours.
The design has not been modified significantly. The producer has a market share of more than 96%. TINE IsKaffe has been presented with the Award for Design Excellence.
Jury`s verdict
During the last ten years, TINE IsKaffe has built up an entire segment for ice coffee with a market value of well over NOK 100 million. This makes ice coffee a bigger product in Norway than in most other countries in the world. TINE has managed to create a completely new product category in the grocery sector, with an annual 30% sales growth. This is impressive and there is no doubt that the design has been a very important factor in this success. This is a product which shines out from the shelf and it is easy to supplement the range with new flavours. A classic design which has strengthened TINE's brand.
