Daylight comes sideways

Lamp with a dynamic daylight effect.

Daylight comes sideways shall create a subconscious feeling of extended space, by creating the illusion of dynamic daylight. The background for the idea is that many people are influenced by the long winter nights in Scandinavia. In the view of the designer, the product is primarily suited for small and medium-sized rooms in private homes, but that using several light sources can give a good effect even in larger environments.

The jury’s verdict:
Daylight comes sideways is a beautiful product for Scandinavians who yearn for light. Previously we have been dependent on lamps with high lux values. The lamp can be programmed so as to create shadow effects that slide over the light surface. This creates a new dimension that creates a feeling of a natural window behind a curtain. The room appears to be noticeably larger. By adjusting the intensity of the light, the amount of shadows and when the light is turned on, different effects can be achieved, e.g. being woken up by “daylight”. Daylight comes sideways uses energy-saving LED technology that lasts longer than ordinary light bulbs.
