Studies show that there are no optimum solutions for regulating the temperature of stroke patients.
Since one in three stroke patients get hyperthermia, that is, an abnormal increase in body temperature, there is a need to cool down and stabilise these patients, especially for the first 24 hours. This is where Otivio comes in.
We think Otivio is an extremely socially useful innovation that can save or improve the lives of patients who have suffered a stroke. Using a special, water-filled glove combined with a textile-covered outer shell, a patient’s entire body can be cooled down immediately, even though the glove only covers one arm.
It is an innovative product that can help stroke patients with early mobilisation and training, instead of pacifying the patient as current solutions do. The product is simple and requires few personnel resources, and probably improves the patient’s self-esteem in a dangerous situation. In addition to the product’s obvious advantages, we think that its sporty and clinical blue-green look appears credible and reassuring to the patient.
