MEAT grown in bio-reactors from stem cells has huge potential for environmental protection, in terms of the release of greenhouse gases, use of land and of the amount of energy used and time spent in general.
Godless is a fictitious brand that distributes in-vitro meat, produced in a different way. By rolling and spinning thin threads of meat, you can weave, tie, knit and fold them to create food with a totally new aesthetic look.
Jury`s verdit
With this product the designer is making a refreshing contribution to the environmental debate and raising new issues surrounding food. With this contribution the designer is showing fine examples of dishes which we have never seen the likes of before. The food appears more real than much of the other food that is considered to be natural nowadays, but which often contains more chemicals than we like to think about. A professional use of the design process has developed a strong concept implemented in a provocative manner.
