Jotun wishes to present colour trends in painting and interior decorating on their website. The greatest challenge has been to create a web page that actually inspires customers, despite the fact that the channel used is so distant from the end-product. Norwegians are very keen when it comes to home decorating, and many market players compete for their attention. The intention is therefore that this inspirational page should also help to build the brand name of Jotun.
The jury’s verdict:
This solution provided is visually appealing and well thought through, with clean transitions and good response. Jotun has succeeded in gathering a lot of information in one place, by including information such as styling tips and information about where various types of interior details can be purchased. Each individual style consists of fine photographs and carefully animated elements. The designers have solved the challenges concerning visual interaction by taking away rather than adding, and have done so with unassuming ingenuity. The solution provided is both inspiring and designed to induce action. Within a demanding framework, the designers have managed to create a magical space where users can explore styles, interior furnishings and colours.
