Elderly people of today do not wish to use products that can seem stigmatising. In designing the Active Rollator, the manufacturer wished to develop a sturdy and functional rollator with an attractive design that elderly users would want to use. The aim was to make the rollator as light as possible, to fit it out with new functions and to give it an appearance that was not stigmatising.
The jury’s verdic t:
The Active rollator has solved many challenges in a better way than that of its competitors. The rollator’s handles can be adjusted without using tools. In addition, it features patented concealed brake cables, patented adjustable seat heights, a curb climber and a patented ski solution for use in the winter. All the handles are easy to locate and the use of plastic and aluminium gives it very little weight, while the ski solution means that this rollator can be used all year round.
Fine attention to detail, with the inclusion of a removable carrier bag under the seat and a separate holder for a walking stick, helps boost the impression one has of a well thought through product. All the functions work well. This product has been carefully designed with a sporty appearance adapted to a demanding and active user group.
