CPRmeter - Cardiopulmonary resuscitation meter for clinical use

MEDICAL research shows that emergency response staff do not, in many cases, perform chest compressions according to the right guidelines in the event of a cardiac arrest.

CPRmeter is a product which guides emergency response staff so that they continually provide good compressions, regardless of patients' individual differences. The product must be placed between the emergency person's hand and the patient's chest.

Jury`s verdict

This is a simple, self-explanatory product and a good example of how design can help to save lives. CPRmeter is not language-dependent and has an intuitive user interface with a tilted display, making it easier to read data. Exactly the information that is needed is provided, not too much, not too little. Even users without any particular previous knowledge will be able to operate the product, as if their own personal doctor was present. It will enable them to carry out cardiopulmonary compressions in the correct way.

The shape and structure of the product support its specific function in a demanding working environment. The flat surface allows you to place the palm of your hand in any position. The product has been designed based on clinical use and easy cleaning. It has a neat design and there is a clear link with Laerdal's other products. The whole package is produced well, from the product to the sales collateral. It gives the impression of sound, well thought-out product development.
