Gårdsand is a company consisting of five Norwegian farmers who cooperate in rearing ducks. The company’s target group is primarily restaurants and wholesalers. The design provided shall give customers the impression that Gårdsand is a supplier of products of high quality and credibility.
The jury’s verdict:
The farmers behind Gårdsand show a great deal of daring and courage by putting their personal signatures on both the packaging and labels. This boosts the consumers’ trust in these products as quality products. The crown in the logo has a charmingly lopsided and organic form that evokes associations of a duck’s foot. The design is otherwise simple, clear and virtually editorial, which helps boost the products’ credibility. The brochures tell a story that is important for the professional cook who wishes to use traceable, high quality raw materials. Gårdsand has managed to create a commercial brand from a cooperative strategy. The concept and idea are communicated in an innovative and personal way.
