Stordal Møbler created Nordkapp to introduce an adjustable lounge chair. The aim of Stordal®’s “Nordic living®” brand concept focuses on the simple, beautiful and functional with a high standard of design and quality.

The challenge was to create a profile for its premium collection “DesigNature®”, which caters for the most discerning and design-conscious customers. 

A chair that is both high and low

Nordkapp’s battlefield is the contract and private markets. The lounge chair has a more unique look than you expect from adjustable chairs. The Norwegian furniture industry is internationally renowned for its recliners. Here, Stordal Møbler has further developed the “sliding principle” for use in a low-backed chair. Could this be the start of a new type of Norwegian chair?

Excellent adaptation of the angle of movement and sliding function means that users can find their own comfortable, individual sitting position. This is a chair with generous dimensions and a strong design. We want to curl up in the Nordkapp.
