Jazz Collection has established its position as a classic in recent Norwegian furniture production, and the chair is still a best seller. It was designed for the art centre Kulturhuset USF in
Bergen
by Steinar Hindenes and Dave Vikøren in 1991. They developed the chair in collaboration with Fora Form, which later included it in its collection. The chair stands out as an innovative solution with its coned legs. Coning provides extra strength, while underlining the lightness and simplicity of the construction. The chair and bar stool are made up of few elements, and they have a clear family likeness. Fora Form also introduced a unique surface treatment with this series: a matt epoxy coating with structure. Jazz Collection is definitely an icon of the 90’s, at the same time as it is timeless and strong with an expression that still meets the mark.
