Rama Gheerawo is Deputy Director of the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design. With over 17 years in the design industry, he has a passion for people-centred design thinking.
Rama Gheerawo is Deputy Director of the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at London’s Royal College of Art where he leads the Age & Ability Research Lab. He is an internationally recognized expert in socially inclusive design and regularly delivers keynotes, curates exhibitions and runs workshops for audiences that range from academics to business executives. He has lead over 50 collaborative projects with large, medium and small organisations from the public, private and business sectors, such as Samsung, GOV.UK and local community groups. Many of them have focused on the design of graphics and interfaces. A trained designer and engineer, Himself, Rama draws on over 15 years experience in delivering this talk. He has published widely including book chapters for Springer and Tapir Academic Press as well as for magazines such Metropolis and Volume. He advises a number of conferences, research councils, business associations and design organisations.
