Hvalstrand Restaurant Hvalstrand Restaurant was designed by architect Andre Peters in the spirit of Le Corbusier and built in 1934. The restaurant is situated on the idyllic beach of Hvalstrand in Asker commune outside Oslo . Since 1996 this building has been listed and gone through an extensive restoration and renovation program. This is a unique functional building, with an almost organic form and untouched by symmetry. When seen from above the building form can remind one of a snail's houses. The inspiration from the sea and the beach is repeated in the decoration inside.
