Mister X is a textbook that presents mathematical material using illustrations, in addition to text and formulas. The book’s illustrations provide new dimensions and a visual way in to the world of mathematics. This means that students with different learning abilities will have better opportunities to acquire mathematical skills.
Mister X is a good example of a textbook that takes care of today’s learning needs for a diverse group of students in an exemplary educational way. Besides offering various approaches to the same subjects within mathematics, the book provides additional value to the understanding of mathematics as a field of study. Mister X addresses lower secondary school students, and the material shows great user insight.
The jury think this is a motivating educational aid, which can promote inclusivity in the community and create collaboration among students. There are currently no other equivalent textbooks on the market, and the idea is therefore innovative within educational materials.
