Michael Wolff

Designer & creative advisor, Michael Wolff & Company

Michael Wolff, a co - founder of one of the world’s most iconic design companies - Wolff Olins - is recognized today as a leader in thinking on brands.

He lectures in many countries including Brazil, Mexico, Singapore and the USA. He is the UK Government  Inclusive Design Champion and Patron of the Inclusive Design Challenge with the Helen Hamlyn Centre at the Royal College of Art, a member of the Government sponsored Design and Technology Alliance against crime, Chairman of the Legible London initiative with Transport for London and a visiting Professor at the University of the Arts in London and a Senior Fellow of the RCA. He’s a former President of both the D&AD (Design and Art Directors Association) and CSD Chartered Society of Designers. Michael has recently been appointed the official Inclusive Design Champion by the UK government.

Michael now runs Michael Wolff & Company in London. Most recent clients are 3i, Mothercare and Ministry of Sound in the UK - Citibank and Citigroup in the US - and a new bank in Russia.

 

Mat Hunter

Chief Design Officer, the Design Council (UK)

Mat Hunter is Chief Design Officer at the Design Council which, for over 60 years, has promoted design for the public good. Mat heads up the organisation’s Design Challenges programme that demonstrates how design can drive innovation through tackling the big issues of our time. Whether stopping the spread of superbugs, reducing crime or promoting health and wellness for an aging population, the programme shows how design can help build a stronger economy and improve everyday life.

Before joining the Design Council Mat was a partner at IDEO, an internationally renowned design and innovation consultancy, where he focused mostly on creating new digital products and services, but occasionally food and footwear too. His current academic roles include Adjunct Professor at Imperial College Business School and external examiner for Product Design at Glasgow School of Art.
