Looking for recipients of design awards 2011?

At the Design Day on March the 16th, we announced all the recipients of the annual Award for Design Excellence - a recognition for outstanding design efforts - awarded to Norwegian businesses and designers/design agencies. Here you can find links to all recipients in 2011:

Award for Design Excellence 2011

The Award for Design Excellence is a recognition for design quality and a visible proof that companies and designers jointly have developed a good design solution - ranging from industrial design to packaging and interaction design.

The Honours Award for Design Excellence

The Honours Award for Design Excellence is given to products that clearly distinguish themselves among those who receive the Award for Design Excellence. The award was introduced in 2000.

The Inclusive Design Award

The award is presented to a company and its designer for developing a product or a solution which focuses specifically on user-friendliness and intuitive understanding, making it available to an extended user group. The award rewards improved user-friendliness, intuitive understanding and user experience in a product or service. 

This year, there were no qualified candidates for this award.

The Sustainability Award

The Sustainability Award is presented to the company and the designer that has developed a product or a solution that can demonstrate material environmentally-friendly properties in a lifecycle perspective. This means that due regard has been taken to environmental aspects in all phases of the design process. Only one award is presented each year.

Winner 2011: EPS BOX

The Young Talent Award

The Young Talent Award is the younger designers' chance to show their design projects and promote their talents. The competition is aimed at students at Norwegian and international schools within all areas of design. Graduates with less than three years of experience are also invited to participate.
