Investments in design contributes to greater creation of value and for the first time we can present direct proof!
Lofotenprodukt, a Norwegian supplier of fish and seafood, went from being a regional player in Northern Norway to a national distributor with a 300 % increase in turnover. This is a direct measureable effect from their cooperation with Strømme Throndsen Design. The design project won the Norwegian Design Council’s Design Effect Grand Prix Award in 2009, but more important is their new factory which was built to cover the increased demand for their products.
Learning points from this design project will be presented at the Design Breakfast 14. January 2010. Register here
Odelia, Norwegian producer of cold-pressed canola oil, gained 100 % national distribution and a 21 % market share - much thanks to a thorough design process in cooperation with Panorama Design.
Kondomeriet, Norway’s largest chain store for erotic products, experienced a 63 % increase in turnover and a wider, more grown up customer base as a result of working with Uniform design agency. These three case stories will all be covered at the Design Breakfast. Don’t miss out, business managers with ambitions for growth need to listen and learn!
Lofotprodukt, Odelia and Kondomeriet were all nominated to the Design Effect Grand Prix 2009, a brand new award from the Norwegian Design Council . The award is the first of its kind in Norway and it recognise projects which demonstrate design’s tangible impact on a client’s business. The award goes to design projects that present proof beyond doubt that the client’s business problem was solved by the design solution.
Design Business Association in the UK has focused on the effectiveness of design for a total number of 20 years, with their Design Effectiveness Award (DEA). We have entered an agreement regarding licensing their successful award concept, which has resulted in our very own Design Effect Award.
