Inclusive design; user-focus in innovation processes

26.08.2008 / Design breakfast

Award-winning Leif Isachsen of KODE Design wishes to share with the business world his experience of user-centred innovation processes.

About Leif Isachsen (Kode Design)
Kode Design is one of Norway’s leading environments in the field of user-focused design. In addition to winning the Honours Award for Design Excellence together with Rofi Industrier AS at Design Day 2008 for the Armadillo mine-clearing gear and mask, Kode Design was awarded the IF Gold Award 2008 for the same project, as well as the Red Dot Award 2004 for its product design.

For first time in the Nordic region, a 24-hour Design Challenge was arranged during the European Business Conference on Inclusive Design, on 5 and 6 May 2008, under the auspices of the Norwegian Design Council. Team Norway 1, with Leif Isachsen as its team leader, won the award for best concept, in fierce competition with four other teams from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

At the NDC’s Design Breakfast on Tuesday 26 August, Leif will speak about this competition and share with the business world his experiences of user-focused and inclusive design in innovation processes.
