14.06.2007 / Design Breakfast
At the Design Breakfast on Thursday 14th June 2007, a new way of involving the user in the design process was introduced – "Innovation motivated by real needs" – a lecture by Asgeir Østerbæk, Research Manager at the design agency Designit.
50 enthusiastic amateur photographers from all over the world help to ensure that the largest design company in North Europe, Designit, keeps internationally up to date for the benefit of its business clients. To do this, the company uses a network called Designit Pilots that enables Designit to develop internationally relevant and innovative products and solutions.
Good products and solutions spring from real user problems and needs. Designit collects data from people all over the world in order to gain insight into how they live, the things they surround themselves with and what they are interested in. Asger Østerbæk will reveal how Designit make active use of the network Designit Pilots in its design processes and how this insight affects the final design solution.
