Regatta of Norway AS and LESS AS both won the Award for Design Excellence in 2007. The products of these companies are good examples of how superb design leads to improved performance and can save lives. On 31st October, the Norwegian Design Council organised a half-day seminar when the two prize-winning companies and their designers talked about how they developed their products.
How do a company and a designer take account of users' needs right from the start of the development process and how important is it to do this? How do designers and companies work together strategically in order to attain good results for both the user and the producer?
