On 14th September 2006, the Norwegian Design Council organised a seminar about financing design-related development projects in collaboration with SkatteFUNN, Innovasjon Norge and The Norwegian Industrial Property Office.
Companies can now apply for the financing of design-related development projects through the Norwegian tax deduction scheme SkatteFUNN. The aim of the seminar was to give participants an introduction to the opportunities that this scheme opens up. The seminar gave an insight into the connection between design and innovation and into the characteristics of design-related R&D.
The participants were told how to meet application requirements and what financing through SkatteFUNN covers. In addition, the seminar gave a picture of how the scheme functions in practice, using two companies as examples.
